Program In charge for ican1 Prevocational Program (Mother of Aaruhi Banathia)

We, parents of Aaruhi Banathia, a student in Sunrise Learning, are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible progress our daughter has made at this special school (Sunrise Learning). Over the past year, our child has thrived, learning new skills and achieving milestones we never thought possible. Not only she is learning new skills, she is able to implement these skills in real-life situations.

The school's tailored approach, using visual supports, social stories, and sensory considerations, has been instrumental in her development. From a child who could not sit for a second to a child who sits meaningfully for a longer period of time in her classroom and participates in her daily classroom activities. From a child who was not at all social to a child who has become a social butterfly.

The positive reinforcement and hands-on learning methods have helped our daughter build confidence and overcome challenges like self-biting behavior. She is learning to regulate her emotions through a beautiful self-regulation curriculum in Sunrise Learning. The clear and simple language used by the teachers has improved her communication, and the structured routines have provided a sense of security and stability to her, which enhances her learning capabilities.

We are amazed by the positive changes we ve seen in our child, from improved social interactions with her teachers and peers to increased independence in different skills, like she has become independent in her Daily Living Activities. She is learning to cook with the help of her Cafe Skills classes in Sunrise Learning. The school's dedication and expertise have made a profound impact on our child's life and in Ours, too, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Vocational Program In charge (Mother of Saksham Gupta)

Dear Sunrise Learning!!

Your contribution in our lives cannot be described in words. Thank you for accepting us and making us part of the family. Just penning down what we feel deep inside from our hearts.

When we first joined Sunrise Learning, we knew it would be a place for Saksham. What we didn't expect was for it to become an essential part of his and our lives. Over the years, Saksham has grown in ways we never thought possible. Sunrise Learning has been an integral part of our journey with Saksham.

It is not just a school-it has been a nurturing ground where Saksham blossomed from a little child into a confident, expressive, and thoughtful 16-year-old teenager. Over the years, we have witnessed remarkable growth in every area of his development-social skills, communication, cognitive abilities, sports, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

The school has provided him with compassionate teachers and genuine friendships that have played a crucial role in shaping his personality. The structured yet flexible environment, tailored to his individual needs, has helped him thrive in ways we had once only hoped for.

What makes Sunrise truly special is the unconditional love and acceptance that every child receives. It has always felt like a safe, supportive haven-not just for Saksham, but for us as a family. We always felt heard, understood, and guided at every step, no matter how big or small.

At the heart of this beautiful journey is Dr. Sonali, the founder and principal of Sunrise Learning, who is herself a special parent. Her lived experience, deep empathy, and unwavering commitment to children like Saksham shine through in everything the school stands for. She has built not just a school, but a community rooted in acceptance, respect, and unconditional love.

As parents, we always felt supported, guided, and reassured: Sunrise has been our anchor through challenges and our partner in every achievement. The people here truly love Saksham, not for what he achieves, but for who he is

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Sonali and the entire Sunrise family for believing in Saksham and helping him grow into the young man he is today. This school will always hold a very special and emotional place in our hearts.

I am very happy with Sunrise learning Special School.

The school has good infrastructure and maintains very nice hygiene. The staff are humble and caring, and the teachers are well educated. They use good strategies to involve Shrey in different activities, and I can see his progress. Shrey has also become a good performer in sports. I am fully satisfied with the school and with Shrey's overall improvement.

Head of Intervention (Mother of Pranav Saini)

I'm writing about my son, Pranav. Pranav has been going to Sunrise Learning School since 2021. Pranav has some physical challenges, but he loves being around people and talking to them.

Sunrise Learning has been great for Pranav. He loves the school because he gets to interact with people and be part of things there. He has his own identity there and gets respect which is very important to boost his self-esteem and confidence. The school is a happy and safe place for him. He is learning daily living skills and becoming more independent. We're proud of him, and we think

Sunrise Learning has helped a lot.

I wanted to share Pranav's story because Sunrise Learning is doing great job with special needs as well as their parents

Voices of Grateful Parents

I am very thankful to Sunrise Learning Center for providing holistic caring to kids with special needs. The entire SL team is committed and putting all efforts to make children's lives better day by day. The environment and support give parents a positive vibe and strength to manage the daily needs of their child. The overall program is structured in a systematic way to improve daily routine, academics, sports, and other art skills.

Vikas Yadav (Chirag's father)

When we approached Sunrise Learning in 2018, we knew only 2 things. First, our child Sarvika was on autism spectrum disorder and second it has no cure. Through the Mom and child programme, we came to understand the basics about the condition known as autism and how to approach the child. Later Sarvika joined the school in the EIP program. Slowly and steadily, little victories in the form of toilet training and sitting tolerance were achieved.

The eating, sleeping, playing, doing activities- all these patterns improved. Going out to the market or on a long-distance trip on train or flight used to make us anxious but thanks to the concept of social stories and visual support like pictures and videos, this too has been overcome. Thanks to the incredible patience and dedication of the teachers of Sunrise Learning, we have witnessed a steady transformation in our child, and we look forward to conquering more frontiers in the future with the support of Sunrise Learning. In fact, thanks to the structured pattern of learning that we came to know through Sunrise Learning, we didn't have to make any effort at all to raise and teach our younger daughter Ridhvi. While the journey is long, we know that with the support of Sunrise Learning, many more frontiers will be conquered.

Regards,

Rajiv Ranjan Jha (Father of Sarvika Jha)

It's a privilege to be a part of Sunrise Learning. My son Joy has developed many good habits from school, e.g., washing his hands after every meal and waiting for his turn. Most importantly, he knows many bhajans, which I guess he learned during morning prayer.

No doubt he has learned many things from school. He becomes a better version of the previous one.

He developed sports skills, and now he has become the best skater.

Due to the above, Joy is now less hyperactive, his listening capacity has improved, his concentration has become better, and his understanding has developed.

What's good about Sunrise is they know what to focus on to make children learn better and meaningfully. Every planner is well prepared for the individual child as per their need. They have classroom and one-to-one sessions, which are really good. Children have many exposures (social environment—visiting movie halls, shopping complexes, metro tours, very good music classes with professional music teachers, digital learning, and learning through videos). All these learning facilities make children more confident and help them cope with the environment.

How I forgot to mention the teachers (true mentors). I was overwhelmed with the dedication and hard work of all the teachers Sakshi Mam, she takecare of many small things as well, in her guidance joy has learned many skills in ELC. I would like to give my special thanks to Seema Banathia Ma’am, the very first teacher to Joy and her mother. Seema Mam taught not only Joy but me as well. Her teaching techniques help me to understand how to make him learn at home. Her valuable contribution to Joy's life will always be remembered. We are grateful to be a part of Sunrise Learning.

Lastly, in short, Sunrise Learning is the best school for all the neurodivergent children.

Thankyou

I first came across Sunrise Learning Foundation in 2021, when I started working as an online EVS teacher. What began as a professional opportunity soon became a very meaningful experience for me. Working with specially abled students taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of understanding each individual beyond just academics.

What truly stood out to me at Sunrise was the warmth and respect everyone shows towards one another. There's a genuine sense of care, where people are always ready to support, listen, and help in any way they can. Being part of such an environment made learning feel natural and fulfilling.

Over time, I began working with the foundation in the area of media and communication. Through this role, I've had the chance to observe and share many inspiring stories, and in the process, I've grown both personally and professionally. Being associated with Sunrise Learning Foundation has helped me become more mindful, compassionate, and appreciative of the little things that truly matter.

I feel grateful to be a part of a space that believes in inclusion, kindness, and creating meaningful impact-one step at a time.

Being a teaching member at Sunrise Learning has been a truly meaningful journey for me. As an organization dedicated to specially abled students, Sunrise Learning gave me the opportunity not only to teach but also to learn deeply from an incredible community. I was assigned the role of teaching English, and what began as a responsibility soon became a beautiful experience of connection, patience, and growth. Working closely with the specially abled community helped me understand their strengths, resilience, and unique perspectives, and it has played a significant role in my personal and professional growth. I am grateful to Sunrise Learning for shaping me into a more compassionate, aware, and confident educator.

SLF- Not an organization! SLF is a family

Anybody may visit and they may feel the warmth and comfort of a family working together, taking care of their own shares of responsibilities and everything around oneself.

I got connected with SLF in June 2020 and Oh! What a connection! I still thank Charu Ma'am for sharing this opportunity with me and have me connect with Sonali Ma'am. From taking NIOS Classes to helping out others to take classes, from learning about SLF and joining the team to facilitating others and connecting them with team, from sharing my bio-data for being eligible of standing my ground for the team to myself making sure through others bio-datas that they become an asset to the family they are applying to join for.

I have had so much of a learning experience as a working professional and as an educator. To this day, these online classes that I have taken with my NIOS specially-abled batches, I apply my teaching experience to my mainstream classroom.

Most importantly, I learnt to always try your best to be humble and to the ground and see the magic of your shared warmth. Thanks to each and every person of this team.

I joined Sunrise Learning in 2020 as a volunteer, where I had the opportunity to work closely with students on the Autism Spectrum. From the very beginning, Vandana ma'am and Charu ma'am guided me with immense care and patience. They supported me step by step, helping me understand how to teach these students effectively what to include, what to avoid, and which teaching methods would be most appropriate for their individual needs.

Beyond instructional techniques, the most valuable lesson they imparted was patience-patience not only within the classroom, but a quality that I gradually carried into my personal life as well. This experience deeply shaped me and contributed significantly to my growth, both as an educator and as an individual.

Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of leading SUNFUN, an inclusive art showcase, as the Team Leader. Each year, this role has allowed me to witness remarkable talent and to provide a meaningful platform for artists to express themselves and receive the recognition they truly deserve.

In addition, I have worked with SLF as an HR Coordinator and am currently associated with the organization as a Consultant. Each role has strengthened my connection with Sunrise Learning and reinforced my commitment to inclusive education and empowerment.
