OUR
INITIATIVES
The Sunrise Learning Foundation works with the strong belief that a neurodiverse child or adult has an equal right to a meaningful life of dignity and respect and any intervention should look at providing support for holistic growth. Our ethos of nurturing these special lives and creating opportunities of integration and inclusion – guides us to persevere above and beyond the objectives of the programs.
Scholarship Support Program
The foundation provides scholarships to deserving students who have shown consistent progress with the interventions and the program support but their families lack the resources to pursue the interventions and education. The scholarships are provided under different categories (for eg. Single Parent, Gifted child, Low family income) and the applications are meticulously evaluated. The scholarships are sponsored by our steadfast support partners
Sports for specially abled
Sunrise Learning is affiliated to SPECIAL OLYMPICS BHARAT - SOB, and trains students for special sports- with many district and national level players amongst its students.
The calendar has many sporting events. THE ANNUAL SPECIAL SPORTS MEET – the biggest special sports meet for specially abled persons in the NCR receives participation from 1000 and more participants and is one of the most awaited special sports event in NCR

Visibility for disability
Autism inhibits the social skills and ability to communicate for a person it affects and the isolation created by the diagnosis, stigma, discrimination and the behavioural challenges further worsens their chances of growing in a supportive environment.
Autistic and neurodiverse persons learn best within an interactive and supportive social environment – Our calendar is filled with exposure trips, outings, event participations, performances to nurture opportunities for our learners to apply their social skills and for the society to see and interact with them in a social set up.
Augmentative Alternative Communication
We conduct half yearly trainings and workshops and 3-month long courses to train for alternative communication methodology for the semi or non-verbal persons for using AVAZ – a visual based app to leverage technology and build channels of expression and communication.
This initiative is very impactful – It has given a voice to hundreds of children and adults – creating bridges and bonds with family and their social environment and facilitating self-expression
Holistic and individualised education
We profess that we do not work as a therapy or respite centre but the two very unique dimensions of our work are – multidimensional education for multifaceted holistic growth and very active parent engagement to nurture empowered parents who are an agency of life long support for their wards
Our children receive individualised plans every quarter and learn academics, computers, sports, music, art, yoga – while receiving therapy and regulation support.
